Meet Our Farmers

GUATEMALA

The Navichocs

The Navichoc farm has operated on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala for three generations. Their commitment to the community has been noticeable for even longer. They provide jobs to the community through their coffee farm and run a construction business specializing in building homes for families across the country. The Navichocs are a mission-driven family. They have planted churches and invested in the local school system, including filling a first-time school counselor’s position to help students and families deal with various types of trauma.  They have helped facilitate crucial medical care to local women and children, including the addition of a birthing center to their church and construction of a purification system to provide clean water to their community.

PANAMA

The Caballeros

Our farmers in Panama, the Caballeros, are a multigenerational farming family. For three generations, their farm has provided meaningful and dignified work that provides a livable income to local families. Their investment in the community doesn't stop with the farm, it stretches into their local community through dental work, providing food at a nearby hospital, and more. In addition, the Caballeros are using coffee to financially support close to one hundred missionaries stationed in gospel-hostile countries around the world.

NICARAGUA

The Vilchez Rodríguezes

Our coffee partners in Nicaragua, the Vilchez Rodríguezes, help local coffee farmers throughout their community to maintain sustainable agricultural practices. They are in the heart of a coffee-farming community in the Jalapa area of Nicaragua. The family supports local coffee farmers by assisting with cultivation and processing, and by providing guidance on operating their businesses.  Their community support, by providing life-on-life support, enables community farmers to earn sustainable incomes and strengthen family stability across the entire community, including 14 families from five villages! At the heart of this mission is to bring hope to local communities through education, health care, jobs, housing, and church planting, transforming lives and breaking the cycles of poverty. Their efforts provide families with hope that a dignified life can be a reality.

Pastor Rafael & Maria Puac Trejo

Pastor Rafael and Maria have been our coffee and ministry partners in Guatemala since 2012. We have been able to support Pastor Rafael and Maria by purchasing coffee, empowering them to be a point of light and relief in their communities around Lake Atitlan and in the small, remote village of San Juan Moca. Through more than 14 mission experiences and the purchase of amazing coffee, we have provided them with the resources to award scholarships to dozens of students to finish high school, when the average grade of completion was previously 3rd grade. Our partnership has also brought medical relief to the village and the construction of 14 houses equipped with beautiful outbuilding kitchens. These separate kitchen structures are designed and constructed apart from their homes to keep the airborne particulates from open-fire cooking outside the home and away from families living in these homes.
